Biography
Alisha Rice is an Associate Lawyer, who practices exclusively in criminal defence. She represents clients facing a wide range of criminal charges and is committed to providing strategic, effective, and client-focused advocacy at every stage of the criminal justice process.
Before joining Michael Coristine Law, Alisha gained valuable experience at another leading criminal defence firm in Toronto, where she managed a significant caseload of criminal matters, including firearms offences, drug trafficking, robbery, fraud, impaired driving, and assault-related charges. She has conducted contested bail hearings, preliminary inquiries, and pre-trial motions, negotiated favourable resolutions for clients, and assisted with complex criminal litigation, including homicide matters.
Alisha earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Ottawa, graduating with an option in Dispute Resolution and Professionalism. During law school, she was actively involved in criminal law advocacy and mentorship initiatives, including serving as a representative of the Criminal Law Students; Association and mentoring law students through the Allies in Law Mentorship program.
A member of the Criminal Lawyers; Association, Alisha is known for her thorough preparation, persuasive advocacy, and dedication to protecting her clients; rights. She is fluent in both, English and French, and she is passionate about helping clients navigate the criminal justice system with confidence and clarity.
